Are you using arts integrated lessons and or strategies in your classroom?

One great resource to check out is ARTSEDGE, a website developed by National Endowment for the Arts, the United States Department of Education, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

ARTSEDGE aims to connect people to people, to connect people to resources, and to build a new base of knowledge in the area of arts education. ARTSEDGE offers free, standards-based teaching materials for use in and out of the classroom, as well as professional development resources, student materials, and guidelines for arts-based instruction and assessment.

ARTSEDGE is broken down into three sections:
Teach: Transform you teaching with arts integrated resources for the k-12 classroom.  This section includes lessons by subject areas and grade levels, information on standards, web link’s and how to’s.

Connect: Access ideas, tools and people the support the role of arts in education. This section includes articles and reports, contacts and advocacy essentials.

Explore: Discover the world of the arts through interactive media- rich activities.  This section includes “Look, Listen, Learn” activities, important days in the Arts, meet the artist and arts quotes
