Take a Child to the Theater Today!

March 20th is World Theater for Children and Young People Day! Take some time out of your day to promote theater for children. There are many quality theaters in the Twin Cities that offer theater for children that will most certainly be entertaining for adults too! Coming up at the Ordway we have the Flint Hills International Children's Festival (June 2nd and 3rd) and The Addams Family (May 8th-20th), both are great family events. Celebrate the day by giving a young person in your life the gift of going to live theater.

Still not convinced? Check out this article "How Theater for Young People Could Save the World" by Lauren Gunderson at the Huffington Post. Read about how theater helps teach empathy to children and adults alike and why children should be exposed to the arts.
