Participate in Ordway's Audition Workshops!

Auditions are an essential part of any actor’s career.  Mastering audition technique is the first step toward landing a role. Ordway’s Audition Workshops are an opportunity to receive feedback on your audition skills and offer insight into how to make an even stronger impression. The workshop will cover: choosing audition material, working with an accompanist, audition composure and how to make the most of your 3 minutes of audition time.

 

Participants will perform one song in a mock audition setting and receive constructive feedback from Musical Theatre professionals.  Please prepare at least 16 bars and no more than 64 bars, of a song that best shows off your talents.  Bring clean sheet music for the accompanist and a photo and resume.

Observers are certainly welcome!

Adult Audition Workshop (for ages 19 and up)

• Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 4 to 7pm at Ordway’s McKnight Theatre
• Led by Ordway’s Producing Artistic Director, James A. Rocco and the Award Winning Musical Director, Raymond Berg
• $10 to participate & $5 to observe
• You will be required to send a copy of your audition music in 2 weeks prior to workshop along with a picture and resume
•  Refreshments will be provided

Young Adults Audition Workshop (for ages 13-18)

• Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 4 to 7pm at Ordway’s McKnight Theatre
•  Led by Twin Cities Musical Theater Professional, Joel Liestman and the Award Winning Musical Director, Raymond Berg
• $10 to participate & $5 to observe
• You will be required to send a copy of your audition music in 2 weeks prior to workshop along with a picture and resume
• Refreshments will be provided
