Minnesota Opera Summer Camps



Keep your kids singing this summer at one of the Minnesota Opera’s summer camps.  Again this summer, the Minnesota Opera is offering summer camps to give kids a hand’s-on experience with opera. If a kid is new to the art form or has been singing for years, we have a place for everyone.

Children’s Chorus Camp
Grades 4-8
June 10-12, 2014 (1-4pm)
Three afternoons where we sing popular children’s chorus music and get a behind-the-scenes look at producing an opera.  Held at the Minnesota Opera Center.

Summer Opera Camp
Our 10th year!
Grades 9-12
June 15-20
Teens learn arias and opera choruses with daily vocal coaching and movement sessions.  Residential camp at Shattuck-St Mary’s School in Faribault.

Opera Artist +
New for 2014!
College undergraduates
June 15-20
Learn about Teaching Artistry, Creative Ageing and what a career of a modern day opera singer might look like. Singer also get daily vocal coaching and will participate in a mock audition.
Residential camp at Shattuck-St Mary’s School in Faribault.

Scholarships are available for all camps.
