President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities participates in White House Tuesday Chat on the role of the arts TODAY!

The White House’s Tuesday Talk series will offer a live video chat on October 19 at 2:15 PM with the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities (PCAH) Co-chairs George Stevens, Jr. and Margo Lion, as well as PCAH members Chuck Close, visual artist, and Damian Woetzel, dancer. The chat will focus on the role of the arts in building healthy communities, schools and institutions, as well as the upcoming National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards, hosted by the First Lady at the White House Wednesday, Oct 20th.

The President’s committee members will take questions from the audience live. The Tuesday Talks is a new feature produced by White House to connect people around the country to engage with policy experts, administration officials and more every week on a whole host of topics. The series kicked off with a live a chat with Elizabeth Warren, the new head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
